Bo Kim turns his attention to the overlooked details of everyday life—ordinary places, objects, and quiet moments that often go unnoticed. Through sustained observation, he invites viewers into a contemplative space where the familiar becomes quietly profound.
Rather than seeking to explain mystery, Kim's paintings suggest that by tending to the world with patience and attention, we begin to sense a deeper resonance beneath the visible.

ONE DOZEN ROSES
SOLO EXHIBITION BY LYNN SCHUETTE

These paintings use the simple image of a flower, enriching them with a visual language that hopefully causes you to see in a different way.
The One Dozen Roses Project started in 2014 as a personal remembrance of the antiwar movement and student strikes of the late 60’s in the United States. The paintings were created from my photos of aging white roses. Its themes of beauty, aging and death were deepened by the January 2015 terrorist attack and killings of 12 people at the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris. The French captions are a reference to the international response of the Je Suis Charlie movement.
This is an ongoing project, as individual works are sold, a new artwork is painted to keep the full dozen complete. All the paintings are 50 x 40 inches and 16 have been created to date.
